Division of Laboratory Animal Resources (DLAR)

Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of people everywhere by providing the finest animal care and support for NYULMC scientists.  

NYUSoM DLAR is fully accredited by the Association For Assessment and Accreditation Of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC). The original AAALAC accreditation date was February 20, 1998. The most recent site visit was in February 2010.  Continued accreditation was issued on July 1, 2010. The next site visit is scheduled to take place in 2013 or 2014.
